£1,226.82 raised for our 2024 Charity of the Year, Workington RNLI!

At CORE, we believe in giving back to our community and supporting charitable causes. Last month we organised an event at The Fibrus Community Stadium to raise crucial funds for our 2024 Charity of the Year, Workington RNLI, bringing together our colleges, suppliers, and local businesses to support this fantastic charity.

A huge thank you to everyone for their generosity! This amount will make a significant difference, helping sustain the operations of the Workington lifeboat station as they celebrate their 95th year of saving lives.

The operation of Workington Lifeboat Station costs approximately £120,000 per year. Its dedicated volunteers give their time for free to provide a 24-hour search and rescue service, depending on valuable training, gear, rescue equipment and lifeboats to save lives at sea.

The Workington Lifeboat Station holds a special place in our hearts because one of our own employees, works for this charity. Josh Reid is frequently called upon to search for missing people, rescue those in danger and provide medical care when needed around the Solway Coast. We’re incredibly proud of Josh and the work he does to help our community.

We had the privilege of visiting Workington Lifeboat Station to present the funds in person.
