DM Engineering Ltd Celebrates Opening of New Facility in Maryport

Maryport, Cumbria – 8th May 2025

DM Engineering Ltd proudly announces the official opening of its new facility in the heart of Maryport town centre, marking a major milestone in the company’s journey since its establishment in January 2019. The new premises reflect a strong, long-term commitment to its customers and supporting local industry. This development follows the company’s strategic partnership with the CORE Nuclear Group in 2024, which has provided vital support for this transformative phase of growth.

The new site, now fully operational, is equipped with cutting-edge CNC machinery and offers the capacity to meet the growing demand across the nuclear and wider engineering sectors. The open day welcomed customers and partners to explore the facility, meet the team and celebrate the next chapter in DM Engineering’s story.

Darren Martin, Managing Director, DM Engineering, commented:
“We’re thrilled to open the doors to our new facility. This move represents more than just a new building—it’s a statement of our long-term commitment to quality and our customers. Thanks to CORE Nuclear, we’re better positioned than ever to deliver exceptional services.”

The partnership with CORE Nuclear in 2024 has already enabled over £500,000 of investment, not only in advanced machinery and facilities, but also in key systems across quality, finance, project management and reporting. These improvements will drive performance and ensure that DM Engineering continues to exceed the high expectations of its clients.

John McGibbon, Managing Director, CORE Nuclear Solutions commented:

” DM Engineering is a key part of our group’s future and secures our supply chain for high quality machined and fabricated components, essential for our delivery into the Nuclear sector in the UK and Europe. We are proud to be able to invest into the Cumbrian economy, bringing high skilled, sustainable employment to the area “.

The event was marked by a special ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Dianne Richardson of Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster, who shared some inspiring words about the future, highlighting the incredible support and investment from the CORE Nuclear Group.

And they didn’t stop there — yesterday DM Engineering also launched their brand-new website: https://dmengineering.co.uk
