This week, we were delighted to welcome Energy Coast UTC to our Lillyhall facility. The staff and students gained valuable, hands-on experience that they can apply in the classroom.
Engineering teacher Stephen Wilson spent the afternoon in our rig hall, enhancing his industrial experience, while Teigan Payne, a year 12 student, worked alongside our design team.
Here at CORE, we collaborate with numerous schools and colleges across West Cumbria to provide exceptional one-week work experience opportunities for secondary and sixth form students interested in engineering careers. During their time with us, students gain practical, hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical engineering, including design. Over the past year, we have welcomed more than 14 local students for these work experience placements.
